About the Role:

In this role as a recruiter for Windwalker Transportation you'll be responsible for identifying, attracting, and hiring qualified truck drivers to meet the company's needs. You'll work closely with our leadership team to market driver opportunities, develop job descriptions, screen resumes, interview candidates, and extend job offers to successful candidates. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting background checks, verifying employment history and credentials, providing relevant documentation, and coordinating orientation and training to new hires. And you will be responsible for providing ongoing HR related support to our team.

What You’ll Be Doing:

You will be responsible for marketing, screening, qualifying, interviewing and hiring drivers which includes the following tasks:

  • Promotion: Selling the company qualities to prospects and highly qualified truck drivers.

  • Ongoing Learning: Willing to spend time at the washout, warehouse, both shops to meet the people and actually get to know them and their jobs.

  • Willing to go meet potential drivers at the spur of the moment, and take after-hours recruiting calls.

  • Management: Arrange interviews, hiring, orientation and training. Participate and help coordinate employee meetings.
    Manage employee benefit programs.
